Welcome to Meusx. We provide decentralized software applications, hosting infrastructure, and metadata utilities for independent creators, labels, and publishers to manage their digital sovereignty.
These Terms of Service governs your access to and use of all Meusx software deployment options, including the Meuspace managed hosting infrastructure, Meustreams administration tools, developer APIs, and any associated technical applications. These Terms are a binding legal agreement between you and Meusx, LLC.
By creating an account, deploying our software, or utilizing our infrastructure, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Our Architecture & Infrastructure Model
Meusx operates strictly as an Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider and open-source software developer. We are not a Digital Service Provider, streaming platform, curated website, or content publisher.
- Decentralized Protocols: Meuspace servers are developed as independent clients integrated on top of the open-source, decentralized Nostr protocol. We do not operate or control the global Nostr network or its decentralized relays.
- Content Ownership & Sovereignty: You retain 100% ownership and control over all content, audio, streams, and data deployed on your instance. Meusx exerts no editorial control, curation, or algorithmic recommendation over the files hosted on individual instances.
- Managed Hosting vs. Self-Hosting: We offer two deployment paths. Under Managed Hosting, you lease subdomain server space from us, where we act strictly as a passive host under 17 U.S.C. Section 512. Under Self-Hosting, you deploy our open-source software code on your own external hardware infrastructure, entirely outside of our network or technical reach.
2. Account Registration & Vetting
To access our managed hosting allocations, payment processing integrations, and advanced developer API keys, users must complete an application process.
- Verification: We reserve the right to request identity validation and media distribution background checks to confirm the professional status of applicants prior to providing server allocations.
- Discretion: Server allocation and API distribution remain subject to our sole discretion. We reserve the right to deny managed infrastructure requests for any reason.
3. The Blocks Utility Monetization System
Our Services integrate a decentralized cryptographic tipping and monetization infrastructure utilizing Blocks.
- Utility Clarification: Blocks are a virtual utility token engineered exclusively to facilitate micro-donations and peer-to-peer monetization within independent Nostr client environments. Blocks possess no intrinsic cash value, are non-transferable between consumers outside the designated tipping infrastructure, and are not currency, cryptocurrency, or investment securities.
For Users (Purchasing Blocks):
- Upfront Decoupled Fee: When purchasing Blocks, consumers pay a final, non-refundable consideration consisting of the token volume and a fixed 10% Meusx administrative and token issuance fee. This fee is charged upfront and entirely finalized upon generation. It is completely decoupled from, and independent of, any individual media transmissions, streams, or content access executed later by the consumer. Meusx derives no direct financial benefit or ongoing revenue split from any specific copyrighted media transmitted by artists.
For Artists (Receiving & Redeeming Blocks):
- 100% Payout Distribution: Artists receive 100% of the token value transferred to them by users. The total accumulated balance is credited to the artist's settlement queue.
- Stripe Integration Risk & Warranties: Fiat payment redemptions are processed directly through third-party settlement networks. By connecting a payout method, you warrant that all funds cleared through this integration are derived from authorized activities. In the event of confirmed copyright infringement or fraud, Meusx reserves the absolute right to suspend or sever the Stripe integration path to protect the infrastructure, independent of the server node's operation.
A. Standard Payout (USD / Fiat Settlement):
- Processed by our primary payment processor partner. Settlement flows from the corporate account straight to your verified banking portal as a service settlement, governed by the payment processor's commercial terms.
B. Optional SATS Payout (Lightning Network Passthrough):
- No Money Transmission Services: Meusx is not a Money Services Business or digital asset custodian. We operate entirely in fiat currency.
- Passthrough Execution: Upon selecting a Lightning Network settlement, Meusx transfers the corresponding USD value to an independent, licensed digital asset execution provider. The third-party provider assumes sole legal responsibility for the instantaneous programmatic conversion and routing of SATS to your provided Lightning address.
4. Artist Content, Copyright Warranties, & Mandatory Licensing Obligations
As an independent network operator, you assume full and exclusive liability for all audio transmissions, video broadcasts, and digital media routed through your allocated server space or API configuration.
- No Corporate Blanket Licenses: Meusx does not maintain, clear, or provide aggregate public performance licenses, mechanical distribution licenses, synchronization licenses, or master recording rights for content streamed or hosted via Meuspace. All legal clearances must be secured independently by you.
- Broadcaster Warranty: You explicitly represent and warrant that you possess all legal rights, master use clearances, and synchronization permissions for any media broadcasted, including all underlying musical works used in DJ sets, livestreams, vlogs, or podcasts.
- Zero-Tolerance Repeat Infringer Policy: Pursuant to 17 U.S.C. Section 512, Meusx enforces a strict termination policy. Upon receipt of verified notifications of infringement from rights holders or record labels, access to our managed subdomains, API keys, and financial settlement networks will be immediately and permanently terminated for repeat offenders.
5. Service-Specific Infrastructure Guidelines
A. Meuspace Subdomains
- Interactive Player Functionality: The Meuspace media player features standard interactive functions, including pause, rewind, and fast-forward capabilities. Under applicable copyright laws, these mechanisms constitute an Interactive Transmission. Consequently, the independent server operator is solely liable for securing all direct master recording and mechanical synchronization rights required for interactive distribution.
- Passive Takedown Compliance: For subdomains hosted via our infrastructure allocation, we act as a passive storage host and will disable access to specific infringing URLs immediately upon receipt of a legally compliant DMCA notice.
B. Meustreams
- B2B Metadata Logging Utility: Meustreams operates as a business-to-business logging and metadata generation tool. It acts as an administrative passthrough to assist artists in generating reporting data, cue sheets, and play logs.
- Reporting Agent Status: When data is transmitted via Meustreams to Performance Rights Organizations or the Mechanical Licensing Collective, Meusx acts strictly as an administrative agent transmitting data on behalf of the independent node operator. The independent operator remains the sole Broadcaster of record liable for the validity of the transmissions.
6. API Deployment & Open Source Self-Hosting Protection
We provide open-source code repositories and developer APIs to support decentralized artist frameworks.
- Third-Party Domains: If you embed the Meuspace media player or configure our API endpoints on an external domain outside of our controlled subdomains, you acknowledge that the external domain operator is the sole Publisher and Broadcaster of that stream.
- Technical Impossibility: For nodes deployed using our open-source software on self-hosted, independent server environments, Meusx possesses no central administrative access or technical capacity to view, delete, filter, or disable the hosted media files. Takedown requests for self-hosted instances must be directed exclusively to the respective network host or server operator.
7. Term, Billing, & Termination
- Subscription Billings: Infrastructure allocations, premium data pipelines, and advanced API access tiers are billed in advance on a recurring schedule and are non-refundable.
- Immediate Disconnection: Any breach of our copyright provisions, manipulation of the virtual utility token parameters, or actions resulting in payment processing network flags will result in the immediate revocation of your API authorization and managed hosting lease.

These Terms and all infrastructure relations shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the United States for any legal actions arising out of infrastructure misuse or copyright claims.
10. International Compliance Notice
As a decentralized network system accessible via Nostr, international node operators must satisfy the specific public performance, mechanical, and neighbouring rights requirements of their local jurisdictions. You warrant that any foreign metadata submission generated via Meustreams is fully compliant with the territorial collection societies governing your point of transmission.
